More about the team and role:
The Manager Operations Analytics is responsible for managing a team of Business or Data Analysts. The individual will be responsible for providing accurate and timely daily, weekly, monthly information to support business-decision-making, metrics tracking, and performance measurement. The Manager will take initiatives in improving overall quality, testing methodology, creating reports and leading the Analytics team along with other cross-functional teams on projects and their day to day operations.
Job Description:
- Lead team to deliver data-driven analytics solutions that provide meaningful, accurate, and consumable information to department leaders
- Define and implement metrics, quality benchmarks and related analysis on performance and service levels to inform strategic and tactical business decision-making
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to determine root cause(s) to business performance issues
- Recommend business controls to improve business results
- Manage the teams’ progress on various report requests, projects, and testing to ensure quality and deadlines are met
- Distribute, monitor, and prioritize the workload to ensure the company/ department goals are met
- Lead and support various projects related to business operations and managing business requirements, business rules development, control and process development for the department
- Support various ad hoc report or analytics requests
- Facilitate performance metrics and analytics presentations to the Senior Management team
- Coach, develop and conduct performance evaluations for each individual
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- Work experience in a supervisory/leadership role and ability to train, mentor and manage a team of Analysts
- Working experience exhibiting strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills that include creating pivot tables, macros, utilizing v/h lookups and VBA
- Experience working with SQL in a professional environment
- Advanced with writing SQL queries and/or SAS programs for analyzing data and establishing business rules, metrics, and requirements
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Amazon Redshift, QlikView, or other similar data interactive, visulalization tools/platforms
- Familiarity with relational database structures, theories, principles and practices
- Familiarity with data models and/or data modelling
- Experience communicating and presenting to all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within a Healthcare industry
- Familiarity with statistical principles, such as standard deviations, normal distributions, and regressions
- Familiarity with Python and/or R
- Familiarity with healthcare data
