Full-Stack Developer
About Us
Our firm builds AI-powered software for civil engineering and land surveying professionals to autonomously analyze data from UAVs and other aerial and remote sensing datasets. Our patented algorithm and web application converts aerial datasets into engineering base plans in CAD, leading to 80% cost savings, and ultimately 100x faster than current manual methods.
We are looking for a talented full stack developer with experience in building and scaling interactive web applications to join our team.
The candidate will join the design and development of our aerial data processing platform, continue in growing out new features to address customer needs, and support scaling the platform, with a focus on high availability and security. The ideal candidate is able to operate with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced startup environment. In addition, the candidate will contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of a Scrum team.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-2+ years of overall software development experience in both front end and back endtechnologies
-Proficiency in writing high-quality, efficient and testable code in JavaScript/Node.js
-Experience with client side MVC frameworks like React and Computer Science fundamentals inobject-oriented design and data structures
-Experience with tools such as Webpack and NPM
-Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
-Familiarity with web app development on the AWS environment (includes EC2, RDS, S3, EBS)
-Familiarity with version control, specifically git
-Experience with live production systems using CICD
-Ability to adapt and develop front end rapidly for customer needs
-Ability to effectively operate with ownership in fast-paced environments
-Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Requirements:
- Experience visualizing spatial data using Mapbox or other map visualization clients
- Familiarity with spatial data, including shape files and raster imagery
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS database environments with large image files
- Experience with micro service architectures
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Adaptable to changing priorities throughout a product lifecycle
