Can be current buyside/sell side, but very open to people from other industries. For example, a data scientist working at a big retailer or consumer brand could be interesting.
Experience with python but doesn’t need to be an expert coder.
Extensive experience working with time series data, modelling with it
Specific experience working with data that has limited history and unknown variables (difficult to forecast with) is a huge plus.
Understanding of statistical concepts and how/when to use them to solve a problem
Good communication skills and ability to ‘tell a story’ with data, however they see fit (Tableau, excel, other)
Does not need experience working with stocks or in the financial community but needs to have worked with consumer brands data or similar in some capacity.
